A New & Refreshing Songkran Festival Experience At Wild Wild Wet
The popular Songkran music festival at Wild Wild Wet (WWW) may not be happening this year, but fun seekers can certainly look forward to a month-long, all new festival experience, where the water park will be refreshingly transformed into a Thai-themed attraction. Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year festival, which falls on 13 April and the holiday period extends till 15 April. For the first time, the re-imagined Songkran Water Fest 2021 (April 1–30) at WWW will showcase a new look, interactive activities and brand new vibe!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Visual & Audio Experience
Feast your eyes on the delightful series of Thai decor as you "cruise" leisurely along Shiok River. Now, what's a festival without music? Don't worry, we got that covered! Expect a curated playlist of uplifting and catchy electronic dance music being played throughout the water park.
Daily Water Gun Battle
Don't forget to bring your super soakers / squirt guns / water blasters! Every day, roving talents with water gun backpacks will be engaging with guests in a water "fight" from 3pm to 5pm.
Spinning Targets
Of course, you won't just be squirting water at your kakis. Take your aim at the spinning target boards at Shiok River. At this attraction, 50 water guns will be distributed to guests at the entry point, and collected at the exit point.
Kids R Us
This year's Songkran Water Fest is special because it's kids-friendly. Look out for the adorable 2-D Thai-themed figurines that will set foot in the shallow waters of the Professor's Playground attraction. Water guns will also be available for children.
Life-sized Installations
A real tuk-tuk plus a 6ft-tall super soaker will provide a memorable backdrop of the 2021 festival.
