Downtown East Cartoon Network's Redraw Your Summer Event, Drive-In Flick, School Holiday Activities, and New Openings

May 26 2022 – Cartoon Network’s Redraw Your Summer at Downtown East will be an  exciting event for the whole family. Spread  over two weekends (June 17 – 19 & 24 – 26),  kids will get to meet their beloved Cartoon  Network characters and redraw their summer  with a series of activities and workshops that  allow them to get moving, express their  creativity and have loads of fun!

The Cartoon Network event will host three main sections: 1) Cartoonito Sensory Playground – specially designed for pre-schoolers to learn through play; 2) We  Baby Bears Magical Box Obstacle Course –  bounce, climb and join the three bears as  they go on adventures in their magical box;  3) All Stars Theatre – meet & greet your  favourite Cartoon Network Superstars and  get creative with engaging workshops. This school holiday, kids will get to be bold, imaginative, humorous, and adventurous as they redraw their summer at Downtown East!

Redraw Your Summer

Cartoonito Sensory Playground -  E!Hub Level 2, Outside FairPrice.  Free admission for ages 2 to 5 years old.

We Baby Bears Magical Box Obstacle Course -  Event Square @ E!Avenue Level 2.  Free admission for ages 6 to 12 years old.

Meet & Greet at All Stars Theatre -  Neptune Cove, Outside Wild Wild Wet  (June 17 -19 only)

Get ready to meet beloved Cartoon  Network characters We Baby Bears, Tom  & Jerry, and Krypto and Ace from the  movie DC League of Super-Pets, during  daily meet & greet sessions. Kids can  also look forward to craft activities and  workshops!

School Holiday Activities

Drive-in Flick

In-line with Redraw Your Summer at  Downtown East showcasing our well-loved  Cartoon Network characters, the Drive-in

Flick will be showing Tom & Jerry: The Movie  (2021). Catch your favourite comedic duo on  the big screen as a chaotic battle ensues  between Jerry Mouse, who has taken refuge  in the Royal Gate Hotel, and Tom Cat, who is  hired to drive him away before the day of a  big wedding arrives. 

The drive-in movie screening will take place  on June 25, 7.30pm, at Downtown East's  Begonia open-air carpark (along Pasir Ris  Drive 3). At the drive-in, each person will be  given a headset to tune in to the movie’s  audio.

Admission is $32 per car (up to 3 persons  recommended for an unblocked view). It  includes two Satay Cups (five satay sticks per  cup) and two drinks from Asli Village.  Moviegoers can add additional nibbles –  Katsu Kiap Bun $3.80; and Fried Milo Bun for  $4.20.

Camp UP!

Camp UP! by Upwall Climbing is a 2-day  indoor climbing camp with games, arts &  crafts, and climbing. In this camp, kids will  learn to develop movement skills, flexibility,  and core strength. While working in teams,  kids will get to tap on their social skills and  build confidence through climbing.

2022 JUNE CAMP UP! DATES: June 6 – 7; 3 – 14; 20 – 21

The 2-day workshop is priced at $240/child.

This is for aspiring green enthusiasts wanting to discover their passion and develop their urban gardening skills. Convallaria offers Succulent Potting Workshops on the first two weekends of June (3 – 5 & 10 – 12) from 1pm to 5pm, suitable for beginners.
