Downtown East Countdown Party makes a splashier comeback!

NOVEMBER 2019: Expect one of the biggest countdown parties in Singapore at Downtown East on 31 Dec, as the destination-resort revives its New Year's Eve bash after an eight-year hiatus.

Returning as a bigger, better and snazzier – yet still a free admission event, this year's entertainment programme is not to be missed. It will see global DJ Brooks helming the decks at D'Marquee indoor venue, alongside a line-up of talented local jocks – DJ Lincey, Farah Farz, Perk Pietrek, and emcee Sonorus, from 9pm.

Electronic dance music fans first watched Brooks' debut performance at this year's Ultra Singapore festival. His gig at Downtown East will be his second one in the city. The Dutch DJ is known for his productions with David Guetta, Martin Garrix and Showtek.

THREE FUN ZONES
Countdown 2020 will not be just about late-night partying. The all-encompassing fete will see chill-out family-friendly programmes kicking off at 6pm at Begonia Open-Air Carpark with live performances, illusion shows and more. Next to it at Open Plaza 1, there will be pop-up F&B offerings to satisfy your hunger pangs till late. At the same spot, the Arcade Arena will be a playgound for acade games from 12pm.

The night will lead up to the anticipated Countdown 2020 party at the air-conditioned D'Marquee at 9pm. The domeshaped D'Marquee will be transformed into a dazzling nightspot with atmospheric lights and sound that befit the hard-hitting electronic sounds, two bar stations by OBAR Live House, a dance floor area, a VIP area and an elevated stage for performances.
