Downtown East serves up yummy new treats at new dining wing

New restaurants add to the vibrant outlook of the Refreshing Downtown East project. Guests can look forward to the expanded Wild Wild Wet with new attractions to be ready by early 2017.

Singapore, 17 November 2016 – Foodies can enjoy the tastes around the world as exciting new dining outlets open at Downtown East this November. Ranging from Korean army stew to Taiwanese street food to Japanese pastries, the new eateries will add more flavour to E!Avenue, the newest wing constructed as part of the Refreshing Downtown East redevelopment project. These dining options combined with the existing and upcoming tenants make Downtown East the perfect playground for families to eat, play and stay.

New eateries and shops at E!Avenue 

The new wing, E!Avenue, will spoil members and their families with the many F&B choices. 

Mukshidonna, the famous restaurant chain in Seoul will be opening its first Singapore outlet here. NTUC Foodfare will also be opening its doors come end November and boasts a plethora of yummy local cuisine at affordable prices. For those looking to indulge a little on food, Andes Steakhouse and Eighteen Chef will serve up delectable signatures like steaks and cheese-baked rice. For the night cats, Cue Guru will be the perfect place for a game of billiard or pool, complete with a bar bistro and a variety of late-night dining options. 

Mukshidonna

Dig into this comfort food goodness at Mukshidonna’s first outlet in Singapore. The popular Korean chain restaurant brings its iconic budae jjigae (or Korean army stew) to our shores. 

Slurp up the unique and savory soup which can be customized with additional ingredients like dumpling, mussels, sausage and gooey cheese. Take your taste buds to the next level by ending your stew with the Korean signature seaweed fried rice.

Herbs Bistro

Herbs Bistro is a casual dining project by Passion for Food Pte Ltd, the group behind popular restaurants such as Chapter 55 at Tiong Bahru, Savoury at Jalan Kayu and Ice Edge Cafe in Kovan. 

Herbs Bistro offers a range of all-day breakfast, pancake, pasta, pizza, western and fusion dishes made from the freshest ingredients. Be sure to check out their 1-for-1 lunch promotion for selected dishes every weekday (excluding eve of and public holidays).

The Basil Inn

An eatery frequented by patrons at Downtown East since it opened in 2009, The Basil Inn serves up food with the true flavours and tastes of Bangkok. Using only the freshest of ingredients and traditional Thai cooking methods that promise to excite one’s palate, Thai food at The Basil Inn is uncompromisingly Thai.

MANLE

MANLE – meaning full and happy – is the feeling guests will be leaving with after a great meal at the restaurant. MANLE is a buffet restaurant that serves a hearty spread for lunch and dinner.                                                         

Lunch at Man Le is never boring as the Teochew porridge buffet lunch offers more than 30 traditional and modern dishes. The dinner buffet is a hotpot dinner with a dizzying array of more than 100 freshly selected items for guests to choose from.
