Eatbox 2020 @ Downtown East

February 2020: Downtown East has once again teamed up with Eatbox. This time round, the event will bring two glorious weekends this month, featuring yummy eats from three Asian countries – Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong – from 21 Feb to 23 Feb, and from 28 Feb to 1 Mar. Admission is free.

Foodies can expect an array of traditional and modern interpretation of food reflecting the creativity of the chefs, from appetisers, mains, desserts, snacks and drinks. The event will also be accompanied by street art, live music and performances by Beats Encore, RP Saudação Capoeira (image, bottom far left) and Style Groovaz Crew.

This year, Eatbox is introducing a new segment – The Competitive Eating Championship by Food League Singapore! Watch as some of your favourite competitive eaters battle it out to win the top prize of $1,000.

From Indonesia, the hugely-popular Kopiyor will serve up its special brew
of coffee made with coconut that gives the drink a special texture. Cafe-eatery
RopangOTW, on the other hand, will dish out its delectable special, Indomie Boba. You can also pair your food with Indonesian beverage brand, Sosro Teh Botol - a popular, sweetened jasmine tea drink.

Joining Kopiyor, RopangOTW and Sosro Teh Botol are local Indonesian cafe-eateries – Bara Indonesian Grill, Musang Berjanggot and Pancake Boss.

The tasty Hong Kong fare will come from The Naughty Corner GelatoHouse who will be selling their signature Hong Kong Egglet Wrap with exclusive Chilli Crab Gelato that will only be available during Eatbox. Other Hong Kong inspired dishes
include Halal Shilin Fried Chicken and Fried Squid from Krumbz N Kraves with special
sauces like Sweet & Sour Sauce and Salted Egg Sauce. All-day breakfast concept Egg Stop will be down for some fun as well!

Other stalls include Faves, Pattern Sandwiches, Broti, GenSausages, Kopifellas, Laundry Galley, Loco Loco, Satu Litre, Sofnade, D'Bun, 1Litre_SG, Trouble Brewing, Beef Bro, Singleton x The Masses, and more.
