One of Singapore's most popular Halloween stories returns, and for the first time, the 3rd edition of the quirky Japanese-themed Halloween Town: Yokai Festival will translate into a series of daily episodes on Downtown East Instagram Stories (@downtowneast), from 20 Oct to 25 Oct.
Every day, one episode of the story will be released at 10am. And you'll play a big part in helping heroine Kandy Onna save the innocent Yokai – and stand a chance to win a Downtown East Comeback Package (worth $150)!
So here's the story: Kandy Onna tries to save the Yokai by casting the Kandy Spell. She needs to locate the Secret Chest to cast the spell in order to defeat the Evil Clown. The Secret Chest is located at the Kandy Temple at Downtown East.
To take part, IG followers must first look for the Kandy Temple at Downtown East, and scan the QR code at the Kandy Temple. The QR Code will reveal the Secret Password and Secret Page on Downtown East Facebook Page (@downtowneast), plus instructions.
Next, go to Downtown East Facebook Page and comment “I found the Secret Password!” on the top pinned post. Now careful, don't reveal the Secret Password in the public post.
If you're selected as one of the lucky winners, you'll be DM-ed for the Secret Password. Five lucky FB followers will be selected. Winners will be picked on 26 Oct. The Secret Page will give you cues to check out the new episode the next day on Downtown East IG.
