Singapore, June 26 2023 - It's time to don the most classic costumes of your favourite characters and celebrate the OGs that have inspired us. Think old-school favourites – Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Gundam, Astro Boy and the like.
Singapore’s exciting cosplay convention Cosfest by the Singapore Cosplay Club (SCC Square) is returning for its 20th edition: Cosfest Classic at Downtown East on July 29 & 30.
This year, Cosfest Classic pays homage to all things nostalgic of the anime, cosplay, comics, games, and music genres that are as iconic as the pioneering event.
Attendees can look forward to an exceptional repertoire of programmes and performances, starring special international guests including Japanese celebrity Yui Ninomiya (ニノミヤユイ) and award-winning cosplay club EDGE REBOOT; fancy exhibition spaces offering exclusive merchandise; and exciting activities!
This year, Cosfest Classic presents epic stage performances – an act who's not-to-be-missed: rising Japanese voice actress and singer Yui Ninomiya, who will be making an appearance on both days of the weekend convention.
Yui made her voice acting debut singing as Ema Hinata (日向エマ) in the TV anime Aikatsu Friends!. The 21-year-old released her first album "Ai Toka Kanjou" (愛とか感 情) in 2020 under Lantis, one of the trendiest and most influential music production studios for anime and game music.
Catch the popular singer on July 30 as she performs her top hits at Cosfest Classic. On July 29, the Kanagawa-born artiste will be bringing a live talk show to interact with the audience, followed by a meet & greet with fans.
Cosfest Classic also welcomes a group of special guests: EDGE REBOOT, the winners of the Cosfest Special Award at the prestigious Osaka Comic Con 2023. They wowed the crowd in Japan for their portrayal of the characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. EDGE REBOOT is a team of Marvel Cinematics Universe cosplayers who have been active since 2014.

That’s not all! Cosfest Classic will also feature fringe activities such as cosplay runway shows as well as song and dance performances by local talents. Cosplayers who are interested to go on stage to flaunt their costumes in a parade are welcome to register here by July 16.

She focuses on Marvel cosplays. Her motto is: To achieve resemblance to the character as much as possible, beyond the boundaries of race, age and gender.
He mainly cosplays as Marvel characters.
He has done characters such as Iron Man Mark 6, Corvus Glaive and Groot!
Fun Fact: She makes her own costumes. She is able to cosplay male and female characters across a wide range of genres such as manga, anime, tokusatsu and Marvel. She goes by her mantra, ‘To love and to be passionate about the characters you cosplay!’
He has cosplayed characters such as Iron Man Mark 7, Iron Man Mark 42, Thor, Cull Obsidian and Ronan the Accuser.
She participated with EDGE REBOOT for the first time at Osaka Comic Con 2023. Specialising in face painting and wig production, she is actively involved in a wide range of commitments such as emceeing at concept cafes, festivals and on event stages.
