NTUC Club reaffirms commitment to care for lower income union members at Family Fun Fiesta
First run of Family Fun Fiesta (F3) saw more than 1,800 members enjoying a day of fun with their family at Downtown East.
Singapore, 9 September 2017 – NTUC Club reaffirmed its commitment to care for lower income union members today at the first of six runs of the annual Family Fun Fiesta (F3). Held at Downtown East, F3 was organised by NTUC Club in support of NTUC U Care, which offers assistance programmes to better the welfare of low-income union members and their families. F3 takes care of lower income union members’ recreational needs and allow them a whole day of fun.
A new Downtown East for family bonding
With six runs of the F3, NTUC Club will reach out to some 10,000 union members and their family at the refreshed Downtown East and will sponsor $1.5 million worth of fun. Participants of F3 will be able to enjoy a wide range of fun activities including at Wild Wild Wet which has been expanded to twice its original size and offers exhilarating rides and new attractions ideal for family fun. Admission into the water park was complimentary for participants of the F3 as part of the family recreation package.
“Downtown East has always been a popular venue where families come together to play and bond. Today, F3participants can swirl round the heart-thumping Royal Flush with their loved ones at Wild Wild Wet or catch up over a meal at one of the new eateries at E!Avenue. With the Refreshing Downtown East project coming to completion by the first quarter of 2018, we hope to bring even more fun experiences to our members and their family,” said Mr Lim Eng Lee, NTUC Club CEO.
In addition to the play facilities, there are more than 20 new affordable F&B outlets at E!Avenue for members and their families. Downtown East also offers programmes and activities to celebrate the special moments in members’ lives, from birthday packages to wedding solemnisation.
Caring for union members
The Family Fun Fiesta package was created to help lower income union members to play and bond with their families at Downtown East, at no cost to them. Every package comprises admission tickets to Wild Wild Wet, playtime at eXplorerkid, bowling games at Orchid Bowl, Downtown East vouchers for food and drinks, and carnival games.
Aside from the F3 initiative, NTUC Club also ensures that its offerings and programming are affordable for union members and the public. This includes exclusive Park View rooms at D’Resort for union members as well as unlimited complimentary access to Wild Wild Wet for members who stay at D’Resort.
