NTUC Club to sponsor 1,000 union members and their families at this year’s Family Fun Fiesta
Singapore, Nov 23 2023 - With a commitment to promoting inclusivity in Singapore and embracing social responsibility towards employees and the community, NTUC Club is organising the Family Fun Fiesta (F3 ) at Downtown East on November 25 and 26. F3 is sponsored by NTUC Club in support of the Labour Movement’s charity arm, NTUC-U Care Fund.
The NTUC-U Care Fund was established in 2009 to consolidate the Labour Movement’s fundraising efforts to better the welfare of low-income union members and their families. Since its inception, the Fund has strived to make a difference in the lives of its members and their families by helping them to lessen their financial burden.
As the leisure arm of the Labour Movement, NTUC Club remains dedicated to the cause – striving to enhance family bonds, foster better work-life balance, promote well-being, and cater to the recreational needs of NTUC members within the scheme. F3 has been one of the programmes of the NTUC-U Care Fund since 2017.
Mr Lim Eng Lee, NTUC Club’s Chief Executive Officer, says, “We are looking forward to welcoming the beneficiaries and their families to this meaningful event that offers two days of family bonding and fun. Through F3 , we remain committed to providing affordable recreation options for workers and their families through the Labour Movement.”
NTUC Club will sponsor over $200,000 for the two-day outing for some 1,000 members and their families under the NTUC-U Care Fund. They’ll be in for a real treat at Downtown East. The F3 Recreation Package includes 4,000 admission tickets to Wild Wild Wet and a $5 Downtown East meal voucher per person. On top of that, each registered union member will receive a haversack. From 10am to 11am each day before entering Wild Wild Wet, participants of F3 can also look forward to fun-filled activities like a Magic Show and stage games at Event Square, as well as the chance to win a Wild Wild Wet annual pass worth up to $128 – with three passes up for grabs per day.
NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Mr Melvin Yong and NTUC Deputy Secretary-General Mr Heng Chee How will grace the event on November 25. At 10.40am, Mr Melvin Yong will deliver his welcome speech at Event Square. Thereafter, Mr Heng Chee How and Mr Melvin Yong will mingle with the attendees as they enter Wild Wild Wet at 11am.
