Our Tomorrow
Our Tomorrow
As the leisure and entertainment arm of the Labour Movement, we strive to bring the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) members and guests exciting offerings and programmes.
We are embarking on the revitalisation of E!Hub at Downtown East. The completed level 1 welcomed Threeppy by Daiso and popular F&B outlets. The remaining levels of E!Hub will be renovated progressively, with exciting facilities such as rock-climbing and an indoor suspended net playground coming soon. More attractions will be introduced at our Integrated Water Park Resort, which includes horse-riding and surfing. There are also plans to renovate our Membership and Union Community Engagement (MUCE) facilities in the coming years to better meet the needs of NTUC members and our guests.
As we enter the next quadrennium, we aspire to always be one step ahead of the game. With digitalisation as a key driving force, plans to transform NTUC Club's business model have been accelerated with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through our staff-driven workgroups, we are assessing the feasibility of new programmes to engage NTUC members, such as e-sports, urban farming, and glamping, to name a few. We are also re-examining our work culture and processes to improve productivity and adapt to our staffs' changing needs.
While we anticipate the future changes, some of the projects in the pipeline to propel NTUC Club forward include a Joint Venture between Quebec Leisure and Vividthree. With this partnership, both parties will jointly develop, curate, bid for and produce thematic experiential content and event projects in Singapore and the region.
'Downtown South' is a landmark leisure and recreation destination to be developed by the Labour Movement, with the aim to provide quality yet affordable recreational facilities and experiences for workers and their families. Announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the 2019 National Day Rally, 'Downtown South' is a recognition from the Government to the workers' contributions toward Singapore. It will be located on Pulau Brani, adjacent to Sentosa Island.
To ideate and produce possible concepts for 'Downtown South', NTUC Club had engaged key stakeholders to understand the recreational aspirations of future workers and determine upcoming lifestyle trends. These findings were showcased at the NTUC National Delegates' Conference 2019, where Prime Minister Lee, along with 800 VIPs and delegates penned down their hopes and dreams for the development.
NTUC Club is working with the Ministry of Trade & Industry and Sentosa Development Corporation to detail the master plan.
